Craggle
Android

The Android build works.
Google needs twelve people to say so.

Craggle has been on the App Store for a while, and the Android build has worked for months. The hold-up is not the app. Google requires a personal developer account to run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for 14 consecutive days before it will allow a public listing.

That is the entire ask. Twelve people, two weeks.

What it actually involves

  1. 1 You send us the Google account you’re signed in with on your Android phone. We add it to the test in the Play Console.
  2. 2 We send you one link. You open it and accept. This is the step that counts — being on the list isn’t the same as opting in, and Google only counts the second part. It takes about thirty seconds.
  3. 3 Install Craggle from Play and leave it installed for two weeks. If you climb, we’d genuinely like you to use it and tell us what breaks. If you don’t, staying opted in still helps.

Opting out part-way resets the fourteen days, so the one thing that matters is staying in until we say we’re through.

This has to be the account you’re actually signed in with on the phone, which isn’t always the address you’d normally give out. If it’s a different one, Google won’t count you — and we won’t find out for two weeks. On the phone: Settings → Google.

Do you climb?

Both answers are useful. Climbers give us real feedback; everyone else still counts toward the twelve.

We use your Google account to add you to the closed test and nothing else. If you’d rather not put it in a form, email it to beta@craggle.app .

On iOS already? Craggle is on the App Store, and the beta survey is the longer conversation.
